Through The Wren Climate Collective, Mpactful Ventures funded a grant which included a gift for Aquarry.

Aquarry’s innovative solution involves dissolving alkaline materials from tailings and waste rock in existing pit lakes. The dissolved materials absorb carbon dioxide and ultimately form a limestone-like material which sinks to the bottom of the pit, locking in the absorbed CO₂. This process allows mining companies to effectively reduce the costs associated with closing mines while enabling communities to safely reuse the area.
